A Wine Country Tour of Concreteworks

March 2, 2010

A few weeks ago our photographer Mariko Reed and I toured Napa County to capture some of our most notable winery projects for our new website.  We took the entire day to explore the variety of concrete surfaces at five beautiful wineries from Napa to Yountville.

First stop, Etude Winery designed by MH Architects.

Concreteworks made the tasting counters at Etude with a rice hull finish.

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars designed by Backen, Gillam & Kroeger Architects.

Concrete surfaces used throughout the Solaris kitchen.

Girard Winery, designed by Carlos Fernandez.

This Yountville tasting room has a Concreteworks tasting bar in an archipelago finish.

Ovid Winery, designed by Backen Gillam & Kroeger Architects

Concreteworks made the wall panels clad to the wine tanks in a custom terrazzo finish with handcut stones.

Scribe Winery, designed by Aidlin Darling.

The Nido Oven is the newest venture by Nico Monday of Chez Panisse and Mark Rogero of Concreteworks.

  1. I’ve been following your Sunday events. Are you ever planning to do one in Southern California. I’m a big fan of Heath too.
